I engaged with Shirley @ Direction 4ward through part of my Learning and Development program at work.  Shirley has given me the tools to address my work life balance in a way that I can keep all parties pleased.  Shirley coaching style is supportive yet addresses the root cause in a constructive manner.
I now feel more in control of my behaviour and my goals.  I know what I want to achieve and what impact I have on people around me.

– Shaun P, Village and Asset Management

I connected with Shirley at a time when I was experiencing issues with staff who were underperforming.   At the time I was worried about work on a daily basis and was regularly involved in workplace conflict.   I felt immediately safe and comfortable with Shirley. I was able to reflect honestly about some of my own behaviours and the impact that this may be having on others.  The sessions took me on a journey of self-exploration and growth.  Shirley challenged my thinking and encouraged my sense of self awareness.   My workplace situation has improved and I am feeling much more relaxed and prepared to assist staff who need extra support.

I would strongly recommend Shirley to anyone who is looking for sessions outside the box, she gets you thinking and taking action around positive change forward.

– Sharon G, Program Manager Midland

I was encouraged to attend managerial coaching & mentoring by my boss who thought it would benefit me, even though I was sceptical. At the time I was going through difficulties at work, my motivation was low and it seemed as though I was ‘stuck in a rut’. Shirley’s coaching sessions were just what I needed to recharge the batteries and deal with some of the difficulties at work. This was great as I could complement the work I did through studying management and able to put in practice some of the concepts and theories that I learnt. She also helped me to explore more open communication with my managers. This really challenged me to say things that I had difficulty saying things that potentially could be confrontational. I’m grateful for Shirley putting me out of my comfort zone as this is exactly what I needed. Things are going well now and have better relationships with my managers but also I’m seeing the positivity flow on from my staff. My motivation has greatly improved and I’m seeing results in my work. I now have been recommending coaching to others!
